At Next Steps Recovery, residents will be given a safe environment and the tools necessary to succeed. They will be held accountable, drug tested and breathalyzed frequently, be required to get a job, and work the 12 steps. There are guidelines in place and a therapeutic environment, so people feel welcomed and encouraged to commit to their recovery as soon as they walk in the doors.
Addiction and alcoholism are a never-ending battle; therefore, Next Steps Recovery aims to offer a daily reprieve and remedy. We have instilled a solid recovery 12-step based culture where no one is enabled, but no one is alone. We truly believe long-term recovery is achieved through the 12 steps regardless of the program. That being said, meetings are in walking distance of Next Steps Recovery.
Next Steps Recovery values our residents. There will be weekly house meetings where people can check-in and voice their concerns and will also have monthly outings. In addition, the owner will be heavily involved with the development and progress of all residents at Next Steps Recovery.
Next Steps Recovery also offers practical solutions to everyday problems. This includes but is not limited to finding jobs, psychiatrists, counselors, medical care, transportation, and a gym membership. In addition to helping people find jobs, we work with companies like Resume Builder to help our residents strengthen their professional background .

Next Steps Recovery is owned and operated by Andrew Huffman, who has been in recovery for nearly a decade from drugs and alcohol. After being forced into treatment on multiple occasions, he got sober young and has remained drug and alcohol-free to this day. His goal today is to promote long-term recovery and show people they never have to go back, that the longer they stay clean the more amazing their life will become.
Relapse Prevention Plans
At Next Steps Recovery, we value individual treatment plans (also known as relapse prevention plans). Next Steps Recovery provides a full-time manager, who lives at the house and has over 7 years sober, and also an assistant house manager. Every resident will receive adequate time with the house manager and owner. This will start with mandatory one on ones every week where residents can discuss what's working for them, what's challenging them, and what goals they wish to achieve. We aim to keep people on track and focused on wanting to continue moving forward, as opposed to becoming complacent, which typically leads to a relapse.
Helping addicts and alcoholics from all walks of life take the necessary next steps on a newfound path of freedom to long-term recovery, peace of mind, and a life worth living.
Isolation leads to addiction. Community leads to recovery.
